Nakshatra or a group of Stars are very far from Earth and they are used as a reference to pinpoint the location of any Planet in our Solar System. The entire Zodiac chart ( 360 degrees ) is divided into 12 Zodiac Signs of 30 degrees for each Rashi. There are a total of 27 Nakshatra each having its Name and Governing Planet. Hence, each Zodiac Sign has 2 & 1/4 ( Two and One Fourth ) Nakshatras. Each Nakshatra is further subdivided into 4 Charans known as Nakshatra Pad.

Generally, this Puja is done on the 27th day after Birth. However, if this has not been performed then, then it is highly suggested to get it done as soon as possible, otherwise, various negative results and influences are there in the Life of a person as per Hindu Vedic Texts.
